The Power of Prayer

646227_29155629We serve and awesome God! He can do more than we can ever think or imagine. He is powerful! We however are not. We can only do what God allows. Before you become troubled by the fact that you’re not in control of your own life. Think again! How many wrong decisions and mistakes have you made in your life up until this point?  A lot? Same here! So instead of thinking you can run your life better than God, just hand it over to Him willingly and pray about your concerns

  • Pray with confidence

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.(1John 5:13–15)

  • Know God hears you if you’re in right relationship with Him (see more)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

  1. A good friend a long time ago that God always wants us to dream big. He’s a proud and loving parent with unlimited resources and sometimes our prayers and dreams are so small (from our perspective) that she imagines Him saying “Come on! Challenge me!”

That’s what this post reminded me of. 🙂 Thank you for some encouragement at the end of my very long day!

  2. I agree with your friend! I think God gives us big dreams so that we have to rely on Him. Then when we live out our dreams we give God the credit. After all there’s no way we could’ve accomplished it own our own! Thanks for stopping by!
